Description

Sample Fribourg specialities as you walk along one of the gourmet trails high above Lake Geneva amid the Pre-Alps – this is possible in Les Paccots.
Two mountain restaurants and two Alpine huts cater to visitors. At Lac des Joncs, enjoy a farmer's platter with meat and cheese. Then follow the wooden 'Sentier gourmand' signs for almost two hours to sample 'Chalet soup' at the Saletta Alpine hut ... meat stock with milk, cream, four vegetables, macaroni and melted cheese. Your host Raoul Colliard is world famous: at Montreal's 'Festival des lumières' in 2015, he prepared well over 1000 fondues.

The next gourmet stop is only half an hour’s walk away – Le Vuipay snack bar, where hikers can sample delicious cream macaroni. You’ll then begin a steep descent to discover Les Rosalys restaurant and its “cooked-wine ice cream”, another speciality of Fribourg.
