Skiing in the light of the full moon

  • Image 1

Description

A mountain, a cable car, a mountain restaurant and free use of a slope in the mystical moonlight: this is the fabulous experience of skiing in the light of the full moon on the Diavolezza.
Glüna Plaina is the Romansh word for the full moon. Friday is always a special day for keen skiers and snowboarders in the Engadin as they head to Diavolezza. When the full moon starts to glow, the mountain railway beckons night skiers. The slopes are freshly prepared and lit only by the moonlight. The joyous mood is infectious. A dream opportunity for anyone fascinated by the moon or those who didn’t get their fill of the slopes during the day. The cable cars run from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. To replenish your strength, why not meet at the summit to dine in the mountain restaurant. Some people take a moment on the terrace before or after the meal to simply enjoy the panoramic views: the Piz Palü, the Bernina range, the glacier – in the moonlight, it all looks simply “fabulus”, which means “fairytale” in Romansch.
