Description

Views at the start of this sunny piste extend over ten Swiss lakes and vertically down to the Rütli meadow; spectacular to say the least, with the majority of wide and easy slopes also offering a glimpse of the Mythen mountain range as you make your way down.
At the Stoos heights, winter sports enthusiasts find versatile slopes, fast sledding and airboard fun, scenic cross country trails, diverse winter hiking and snowshoe trails, along with many a cosy mountain hut. The start to these broad and sunny pistes lies at 1922 m on the Fronalpstock summit, which is conveniently reached with the comfortable 4-seater chairlift. And on reaching the top you have beautiful views over Lake Lucerne, the Schwyz basin and Mythen mountains. Separate sledding and airboard runs bid fast fun aside the same slopes - and from the middle Mettlen station you spot the idyllic car-free mountain village of Stoos. Rock bottom, at the valley station of the chairlift, two cosy restaurants, kid’s ski country (Kinderskiland) with magic carpet and a sports store with possible rentals also please all.
