The city is located on the eastern shore of Lake Zug. This means that the sun sets on the other side of the lake.

Zug’s public life pulsates in the parks along the lakeshore. Here you can stroll and enjoy open views of Pilatus, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau and admire the romantic scenery of the pre-alpine hills. But don’t think that this picturesque panorama means that there is only peace and quiet here.
