After a brief climb, the Höhenweg high trail crosses the border into the Linth region for the first time before descending the mountain towards Amden above Lake Walen. Back in Toggenburg territory, the stage ends at Oberchäseren 1,650 metres above sea level. Your scenery en route includes the Alpstein during your initial climb, followed by the Glärnisch and the Linth region and, when you arrive at your destination, a magnificent and lively alpine setting.
